BOBBY! BOBBY! BOBBY! (Translation: Bucks forward and fan favorite Bobby Portis will reportedly re-sign with Milwaukee.)

According to The Athletic NBA insider Shams Charania, Portis will sign a two-year, $9 million deal to run it back with the Bucks. Shortly after Charania's report, the energetic bench sparkplug enthusiastically confirmed his return on Twitter on Monday night.

Portis averaged 11.4 points and 7.1 rebounds coming off the bench for the Bucks during the regular season – but he really shined at the end of the Bucks' championship run, stepping up in Giannis' injured absence in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Atlanta Hawks as well as coming up big off the bench in the NBA Finals against the Phoenix Suns, including 16 massive points and one gloriously emphatic high-stepping technical foul in Game 6.

Considering Portis' eye-catching and stock-raising play in the NBA's brightest spotlight, as well as Milwaukee's tight salary cap situation heading into the 2021-22 season, bringing Portis back to Brew City seemed unlikely. But according to Charania, even with offers from the Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat on the table, Portis chose to return to Milwaukee due to "the organization's culture and winning environment."

Unfortunately, Shams giveth and Shams taketh away. The Athletic's NBA insider also reported Monday night that Bucks forward, Kevin Durant stopper and victory champagne enthusiast PJ Tucker will take his talents to South Beach and sign with the Miami Heat.

We'll miss you, PJ; we'll always be dogs together, and we don't look forward to beating you next season in Miami.

Anyways, on to happier things:

Free agency continues on for the Bucks as they look to fill up their roster and DEFEND THEIR NBA CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE because REMEMBER WHEN THE BUCKS WON THE FINALS!? (*clears throat, straightens tie*) So stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for more Bucks updates as free agency season rampages on.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
