Dust off your mitts and best Craig Counsell heckles: Opening Day at American Family Field is almost here! We're all rooting for the Brewers to start the home slate off with a victory against the Minnesota Twins – but if you want to ensure your season begins with a win, you'll want to get up, get up, get outta your house and go to the official Brewers Opening Day tailgate party on Tuesday, April 2.

Sure, you'll be able to find plenty of tailgates outside AmFam Field on Opening Day – but this will serve as the ultimate and only official Milwaukee Brewers tailgate, with all the perks, special appearances and more that implies.

Hosted by Heard Hospitality – the folks behind WurstBar MKE, Jack's American Pub, Milwaukee Brat House and Wanaki Golf Course – the tailgate party will get the season started right before you even enter the stadium with an all-you-can-eat buffet of grilled goodies, with all-you-can-drink beer, White Claw and other beverages to help wash them all down. Meanwhile, before the game itself, the tailgate party will play plenty of classic parking lot games and feature a live DJ blasting hits like it's batting practice. And it wouldn't be a Brewers bash without Bernie and the racing sausages making an appearance, so they'll be there too to help grab the ultimate Opening Day photo.

The top-flight tailgate will also feature some outstanding amenities – namely exclusive use of the covered and heated Tailgate Haus (because we never know what demonry April forecasts have planned for us) as well as private restrooms instead of Porta Pottys or the bushes. And you won't have to worry about the typical parking pandamonium (or price tag) either, as tailgate attendees will get free shuttle rides to and from WurstBar, Jack's and both Milwaukee Brat House locations beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Best of all, tickets for the tailgate won't require spening a New York Yankees payroll amount. Admission to the tailgate alone will cost $69 while tickets to the tailgate along with a bleacher ticket to the game itself will run you $115 a person. However, if you act quickly, you can get snag these tickets for even cheaper, as the tailgate is priced at just $59 – and the tailgate/game ticket package at just $105 – now through Sunday, March 17. To purchase your tickets, visit Heard Hospitality's website

And if, for some deeply unfortunate reason, you miss out on these Opening Day festivities, don't worry: The baseball season has just begun and so has Heard Hospitality's slate of tailgate parties throughout it all, with four more Brewers bonanzas on the schedule plus tailgates set for the upcoming Kenny Chesney and Green Day AmFam Field concerts. Stay tuned to their website and social media for more info.

And stay tuned to OnMilwaukee for more Brewers updates and excitement as a new season – and hopefully a new run to the playoffs – steps to the plate!

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
