The worlds of regional Mexican music and Reggaeton have exploded in recent years, and that Latin-driven renaissance will make its way to Milwaukee later this year. Fiserv Forum announced two major shows this week, with both Fuerza Regida and Don Omar touring through the arena in August.

First up on Friday, Aug. 16 will be Fuerza Regida, a regional Mexican powerhouse that broke out in late 2022 with their Grupo Frontera collaboration “Bebe Dame.” Since then, the group has released a string of singles, as well as their album “Pa Las Baby’s Y Belikeada” last year. The new record features collaborations with Marshmello, El Fantasma, Chuey Montana and Calle 24, amongst other major players. The Aug. 16 stop in Milwaukee is part of their 30-date “Pero No Te Enamores Tour,” preceding dates in Indianapolis and the Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, Illinois.

Later in the month, crossover reggaeton sensation Don Omar will take over Fiserv Forum, with a Friday, Aug. 30 stop on his “Back To Reggaeton” tour. The Puerto Rican music veteran announced 18 new dates for the second leg of the tour on Wednesday and does not have a Chicago-area date listed as part of his itinerary. Omar has experienced a career resurgence since 2019 and is riding high on the momentum of 2023’s “Forever King” album, which features appearances from Maluma, Akon, Lil Jon and more. “El Rey” does not disappoint live, and this show should be nothing short of a spectacle.

Tickets for Fuerza Regida will go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster, with VIP and meet-and-greet packages available as well. Tickets for Don Omar will be on sale next week on Wednesday, April 17, via Ticketmaster as well.

The summer concert calendar is heating up, and these are a pair of shows that represent the expanding market for both genres in Milwaukee. Fiserv Forum will also play host to Aventura and Peso Pluma this year, while Summerfest will feature breakout star Ivan Cornejo this year and Grupo Firme at American Family Insurance Amphitheater after the festival.
