It's the most wonderful time of the year! Get out of here, Christmas – no, it's March Madness, where anything is possible, anyone can go from anonymous to an icon, and everyone apparently schedules their vasectomies

No matter if it's a major blue blood school or some tiny school we just found out existed, we'll be watching – whether on the couch, at the bar or in the work cubicle with our hand hovering over the boss button. But in Milwaukee, we've got even more reason to be glad about March Madness this year with Marquette living to see the second weekend in the men's tournament. Glad ... unless you somehow have something scheduled during the games.

To help make sure you clear your schedule and (*fake coughs*) suddenly come down with something at just the right time, here's when the Golden Eagles will take flight again in the next round of this year's NCAA basketball tournament.

Who and when does Marquette men's team play?

Get ready for some some serious TGIF feels, Marquette fans. After fending off two frisky upset bids from the #15 Western Kentucky Hilltoppers and #10 Colorado Buffaloes, the second-seeded Golden Eagles will tip off in the Sweet Sixteen – their first in more than a decade – on Friday March 29, at 6:09 p.m. The game will broadcast on CBS as well as stream on the NCAA's website.

Tyler Kolek and company will continue their run to hopefully the Final Four and beyond with a second weekend matchup against the 11-seed N.C. State Wolfpack, who became the lowest seed remaining in the tournament with a close 79-73 overtime win on Saturday over their fellow Cinderella, the #14 Oakland Golden Grizzlies. The Wolfpack had a regular season of drastic highs and lows, looking like a reach to make the NCAA tournament at all – but they're definitely currently on a high, going on a winning spree through the ACC tournament (complete with victories over Duke and North Carolina) to claim the conference championship and the automatic bid into March Madness. And they haven't stopped winning since, now beating Texas Tech and Oakland on their way to a wholly unexpected Sweet Sixteen appearance.

Considering their opponent is a double-digit seed that barely made the field, the Golden Eagles are signicantly favored on Friday. Then again, they don't call it March Normalcy – just ask Kentucky and Auburn – so Marquette can't overlook N.C. State and peak ahead to the Elite Eight just yet.

I, however, can. If Marquette keeps chugging along and punts the Wolfpack, the Golden Eagles will hit the court once again for their first Elite Eight since 2013. The time and opponent for that potential matchup have yet to be determined – but if MU does move on, they'd face the toughest test of their tournament run thus far: their first non-double-digit seed in either the top-seeded Houston Cougars or the ultimate blueblood Duke Blue Devils. For those wanting to see what might await in the Elite Eight, Houston and Duke will tip off at 8:39 p.m. on Friday night on CBS.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
