Bay View’s Torzala Brewing and Oconomowoc-based Steel Tank Brewing have collaborated on a beer with Illinois’ Mikerphone Brewing that celebrates the breweries’ shared roots in Mukwonago.

“We got together to brew a beer because we realized five of us all graduated from Mukwonago High School around the same time,” says Tricia Torzala, noting that her colleagues Jake Palubicki and Renee Martinez, as well as Steel Tank’s Jason Radosevich and Mikerphone’s Mike Pallen are all grads of the school.

To that end, the group gathered at Steel Tank to brew a 7 percent ABV West Coast IPA called Wona Go West that they’ll release at an event at Eagle Springs Golf Resort, W352 S10355 Tuohy Rd., in Eagle, on Friday, May 10.

While you await the arrival of that beer, note, too, that Torzala, which is located in the Lincoln Warehouse, 2018 S. 1st St., in hosting an NFL Draft Round 2 watch party in its taproom on Friday, April 26 with former Packers stars LeRoy Butler and Gary Ellerson, who record their Leap 36 Podcast at Torzala each week.
