I started writing The Chaser newsletter five years ago. From the very beginning, I promised myself that if I was going to clog up folks' inboxes with yet another correspondence, it was gonna be short, informative and as satisfying to read as taking a sip of a crisp beer chaser after a spicy swig of Bloody Mary.

After a half decade, I decided it was time for a refresh – so here we are. If you already are receiving The Chaser on Friday afternoons, it will look a little different this week. A little more content, a slightly different look and hopefully more digestible than ever.

So what's in The Chaser? Every week there's a theme and four (originally three) relevant articles that support the theme. There's also a weekly poem – most of them attempt to be witty and written by me – and a bonus section that changes weekly featuring big and small questions and weird news and fun factoids.

So if this sounds like a fairly delightful way to wrap up the week, sign up for The Chaser here and be sure to let me know what you think.

For those already signed up, thanks for chasing with me. I owe you a Bloody Mary.
