America's Black Holocaust Museum re-opens online

Four years after it closed its doors, America's Black Holocaust Museum will re-open as a virtual museum Feb. 25, 2012.

The museum, formerly located at 2233 N. 4th St., closed in 2008.

The website's opening takes place in honor of the birthday of its founder, James Cameron, the only known survivor of a lynching.

Geared toward the general public, scholars, teachers and students, the interactive online museum will include scholar-curated exhibits of text, photographs, videos, art, original documents, games and more.

More information will be available beginning Feb. 25 at abhmuseum.org.

Volo Auto museum is the wheel deal

Located among the rolling farmland outside Volo, Ill. the Volo Auto Museum is a throwback to attractions like those that popped up along Route 66 as America`s fascination with the road trip bloomed. Unlike some of those attractions, which relied on flashy highway advertising and mystery to reel in weary travelers, the museum delivers with tons to look at for gear-heads and non-gear-heads alike.

Lawyers continue to reap from Jude case

The case of Frank Jude continues to haunt Milwaukee. And it continues to cost the city money. This time it will result in a settlement for two of Jude`s companions on that ill-fated October 2004 night in Bay View. Kirsten Antonissen and Katie Brown filed a claim against the city saying their civil rights were violated that evening when police beat Jude to a bloody pulp.
