Union Pulse
Description:
The foundation of Union Pulse is Boston native singer/guitarist James Redding. James began writing his rootsy, organic songs in the 1990s, when groups like Soul Asylum and Counting Crows ruled the airwaves. Taking influence from that era's moody riffs and catchy melodies, Redding's human insight and turn of phrase blend the best elements of alternative, pop, and country with the depth of classic rock, blues, and roots music. Honest songwriting and raw, unstructured guitar work make Union Pulse a timeless brand of American music.
Since 2002, Union Pulse has been a persistent presence in the independent music industry. Despite frequent lineup changes leaving nearly forty musicians in the dust, with the help of longtime friends Tad Unold and Mike "Duffy" Murphy, the band continues to travel coast to coast - and everywhere in between - building a strong relationship with its listeners. Now based out of Milwaukee, Union Pulse has grown from a young indie band into an energetic, charismatic ensemble blurring the lines between folk, grunge, and Americana.
