Time Out Chicago travels to Milwaukee

Time Out, the weekly, guide book company and site that calls itself the "guide to what's happening in the most exciting cities on the planet," discovered Milwaukee recently as its Chicago bureau posted an extensive featured called "Road Trips: Milwaukee's best."

It's a great piece and features twelve stories/guides from "Milwaukee music clubs" to "Milwaukee Summerfest vs. Taste of Chicago." Their verdict: "Taste for food, Summerfest for music." I say, Summerfest for both!

Time Out, if you were wondering, doesn't have a Milwaukee edition.

I should have expected a series of backhanded compliments. What I really don't understand is why when comparing 2 cities, people find the need to disparage one for the other. A visit to Milwaukee, or any other city, should only tell you one thing: It is wonderfully different. Not better, not worse, just different.
